Since our independence on 15th August, 1947, India has achieved and set many milestones in various fields. We celebrate our national festivals every year and pay homage to our guiding lights...


 

It is a blessing of God and we are especially privileged that we are born in India which is the largest democracy in the world. 




Let's rejoice the achievements of India till today after becoming independent:
1. Largest democracy in the world.


2. One of the largest railway networks in the world.


3. One of the largest film industries in the world.

4. One of the largest postal systems in the world.

5. With reformed healthcare, life expectancy has increased from 32 to 65 years.

6. Built 1.25 million miles of new roads.

7. Steel production has been multiplied by 50.

8. Cement production has been multiplied by 20.

9. 2nd largest bicycle producer in the world.

10. Foreigners are coming to India for cheaper medical treatment with world class quality.

11. India sends first Indian moon probe, Chandrayaan-1 to moon.

12. Ahmadabad becomes first city to have an e-court.

13. Best Dabbawalas in the world with an efficiency rating of 99.99%.

14. Largest milk producer in the world.

15. India recycles 60% of its plastic waste. The figures for Japan and China are 12 and 10 respectively.

16. World’s second largest labour force.

17. Untouchability is now a criminal offence which exists at a very low level.

18. High economic growth.

19. The per capita availability of grain and cloth is greatly increased.

20. India’s most significant achievement after independence is self awakening.

21. India is a robust democracy.

22. It has strong roots of secularism.

23. India is now one of the biggest nuclear power.

24. Higher education is at its peak.

25. Impressive economic growth and revival of many aspects of Traditional wisdom.

26. Today India is recognized as a super power of future.

27. She is a proud member of the International forum.


28. With the support of Britain, France and Russia, she has been included to the council as a permanent member.

29. India’s gross domestic product is the 5th highest in the world.

30. As a result of liberalization of trade policies, it is one of the fastest growing economies in the world.

31. Today India is acknowledged as the 3rd largest storehouse in the world for technically qualified workforce.

32. More than 2300 high yielding hybrid varieties of food grains and cash crops have been developed which make India self sustained in terms of food production.

33. India has innumerable international sanctions to develop indigenous defence infrastructure.

34. With the development of Kaveri; a low-bypass-ratio after-burning turbofan, by the Gas Turbine Research, India no longer begs for engines to power its indigenous fighter planes and launch vehicles.

35. The Indian Navy’s most powerful ships rely on Indian made Sonars, which is the most successful achievement of DRDO.

36. Torpedoes, Prithvi, Akash, Agni Space Research, Insat, Pram and more are not just names but the pride of India.

37. Today Indian women are more confident and handling more responsibilities.

38. India has strengthened not only her FOREX but also relationships with the world.

39. India lost her financial wealth in pre-independence era but she has discovered her intellectual wealth once again.

40. Self development of critical technologies (Super Computer, Cryogenic Engine, Satellites, PSLV, GSLV, Missiles and BMD, Fighter Jet, Tank and a lot more).

41. Social Achievement: Controlling caste based offences to a great extent, increase in literacy rate.

42. Military Achievement: Creation of Bangladesh and that too when US was against us.

43. Economic Achievement: Less unemployment and less percentage of poor.

44. Political Achievement: Successfully running the largest democracy after independence.
